Negative oil prices
Apr. 21st, 2020 04:42 pmYesterday (2020-04-20) oil price in the US fell down to -$37,63/barrel
So you could get paid to receive oil.
Initially I could not believe that and thought it was some sort of a mistake.
And it kind of was: a mistake by traders of underestimating oil supply, overestimating demand for oil and overestimating storage capacity for oil.
Today's (2020-04-21) oil prices are already positive: $13.48/barrel
Yesterday negative oil prices was a weird accident.
I do not think that negative oil prices did happen in the past.
