River IQ game
To start the game -- click on the big blue circle on the right.

The Rules are in Taiwaneese(?), so here's English translation:
=======
1. Only 2 persons on the raft at a time
2. The father can not stay with any of the daughters without their mother's presence
3. The mother can not stay with any of the sons without their father's presence
4. The thief (striped shirt) can not stay with any family member if the Policeman is not
there
5. Only the Father, the Mother and the Policeman know how to operate the raft
6. To start click on the big blue circle on the right.
7. To move the people click on them.
8. To move the raft click on the pole on the opposite side of the river.
=======

It took me ~10 minutes to figure out how to handle the task.
10 minutes is fast. I'd say average time is 30 minutes, and many cannot solve this puzzle at all.

I was able to solve it in 10 minutes only because long time ago I got familiar with similar "Wolf, goat, cabbage" river puzzle.

How long did it take to solve it? - Leave your comment!

I just solved it in about 7 minutes. It reminds me chess. Also I think it's possible to write a program that solves this puzzle.

Well, let's start with "playing with it a little bit" part.

define elements F,M,s1,s2,d1,d2,P,T
define set A, size=8
define set B, size=0
define conditions - logical operators (?)

1. choose two elements from A that satisfy all conditions.
2. update A,B
3. choose one element from B that satisfy all the conditions.
4. update A,B
5. choose two elements from A, if no two elements satisfy all the conditions then choose one element (that one being other then the one chosen in step 3)
6. update A,B
7. choose two elements from B, if no two elements satisfy all the conditions then choose one element (the two being other than those chosen in step 5)
8. update A,B
9. choose two elements from A, if no two elements satisfy all the conditions then choose one element (the two being other than those chosen in step 7)
10. update A,B
11. if B=8 then stop else goto 7.

The requirements should be met in both sets. Hm... this is more complicated than I thought. What do you think?
