Gmail export-import 2
Jan. 16th, 2021 02:24 pmGmail email migration saga continues.
I finally tried to, actually, click "Enable POP for all mail (even mail that's already been downloaded)" in the old ("from") Gmail account.
So after I clicked "Start import" on "Step 2: Import options" [in the new ("to") account, Gmail deliberated for several seconds and spitted out something that gives a hope that I am on the right path:

Step 3: Finish
Your messages are being imported.
It may take several hours (sometimes up to 2 days) before you start to see imported messages.
You can close this window and keep using Gmail or even log out and close your browser – we'll continue importing your mail and/or contacts in the background. To check the status of your import, look under Settings > Accounts and Import.

Hopefully I will see old email messages in my new account.
Update (2 hours later):
Hurray - I see about 1,600 old messages imported into my new account. There are still many thousands to import. I'll monitor if Gmail will be able to import all of them.
