[livejournal.com profile] shwars gave me funny link:
http://www.simulation-argument.com/
This is post-Matrix thinking about "Do we live in simulation?"

Authors suppose that our descendants will emulate us in their computers. So, how do we know, that we are not simulation in computers? :-)
Authors do some other guess-works. And do some conclusions. These guesses and conclusions create funny picture of a new imaginary world.
You may try to play this game ("do funny assumption and then make conclusion from funny assumption") too ;-)

But keep in mind, that it is only game. These assumptions are weak, so conclusions are weak too. And we still live in real world :-)

I already visited this page before:
http://www.nickbostrom.com/

This site is about: Transhumanism, Artificial Intelligence development, AI development consequences and some other things like these.

It is good idea to read Nick's articles and follow references from his page. I already read some these articles and will read more. Do you?

I discovered this great feature in Live Journal:
http://www.livejournal.com/interests.bml?mode=findsim

This feature is very important, because it helps to find person who is similar to you, who is interested in the same thing/topics.

Now I update my "Interests", because:
1) I want improve "similar user" search.
2) I hope, that similar user will find me by himself.

Live Journal looks much better if you are a member of Live Journal.
Many features become available, such as:
1) Similar user search
2) Semagic client. It does work with your LJ more convenient.
3) You are not anonymous already, so people know you, they put references on your posts and comments, they tell others about you, you may not log in each time when you add your comment because of cookies in your browser, ...
4) You may become member of your favorite groups.
5) Probably there are more advantages, but I don't know about them yet :-)

Some of my friends do speak English, even if they live in Russia.
For instance, [livejournal.com profile] hobober write in English sometimes (but unfortunately he use Socrat-translator instead of Lingvo, so his English is terrible :-) ).
Even [livejournal.com profile] eilte knows English, but he dislikes to write in English. Moreover, he wants that I speak Russian (while I want that he speaks English :-)).
Also [livejournal.com profile] fantom_k, [livejournal.com profile] velogirl, [livejournal.com profile] shwars and [livejournal.com profile] frambozensmaak speak English.

We are like noblemen (dvoryane) in 18-19 centuries Russia. Russian noblemen spoke Russian and French, we speak Russian and English. We like Western culture. We like progress. We do progress.
